Inspirational post for CrafTreat Stencils - Guest Designer Hussena!

Hello everyone,
This is Hussena from Quill & Punch Works and I'm very honoured and excited to be sharing my work here. Today I am highlighting few of the stencils from CrafTreat that Priya sent me. These are high-quality stencils & it was a joy to work with them. I'm sharing a couple of cards using these stencils so let's get into it right away!

First card - Double Diamond
This was a very simple one to make. I started by using the CrafTreat Double Diamond Stencil with some Prima Light Paste. I created a custom colour paste by mixing Picked Raspberry Distress re-inker into the light paste. After the stenciling was done, I dried the panel using Ranger Heat Tool and then added few black ink spatters. For the focal point, I used the Altenew Majestic Blooms stamp set which I stamped and fussy-cut and mounted on my card panel. The sentiment is from a die set by Honey Bee stamps. I added few green and black enamel dots to finish off my card.

Sending Bunny Wishes - Clouds and Stars Stencil
This is a card which is totally out of my comfort zone. I went ahead and created a cute scene to compliment the stenciled background. On a piece of watercolor cardstock, I first stenciled the clouds using the CrafTreat Clouds & Stars stencil using Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress inks for the sun and Tumbled Glass Distress ink for the clouds. I stamped, coloured and fussy-cut the bunnies and flowers which are from a Mudra stamp set. The hills were cut using a MFT die from some DCWV cardstock. For the last step, I stamped the sentiment which is also from the same set.

Card 3 - CrafTreat Clouds and Stars Stencil
This is my personal favourite from all the cards. Here I created the background using the cloud border stencil. I used Tumbled Glass Distress ink to create the clouds on a piece of white cardstock, then die-cut a window frame using the A2 Stitched Rectangles Die set by Lil Inker Designs and foam mounted it on my stenciled background. I went for a very subtle look on this one! To finish off, I used the Altenew Floral Frame set to stamp the florals and the leaves which were coloured using Zig Clean Colour Brush pens. I added few Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as the finishing touches.

On to my last card for today!
I used the CrafTreat Flourish Circle stencil for this card. This is a intricate stencil and has a delicate design. I have used this stencil in parts to create a leafy cluster on my card panel. I first adhered the stencil temporarily on a card panel using Washi Tape. I then took my Versamark Embossing ink pad and using a plain dauber, I applied the embossing ink to the areas where I wanted to heat-emboss. I used Ranger Super Fine Gold embossing powder to heat-set the pattern. I did two layers of embossing to get a better look on the vines and leaves. Next, I used the flower which is included in this stencil. I simply coloured the flowers using Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide and Mustard Seed Distress ink using Tsukineko daubers to get proper coverage and the bright colour. The watercoloured background was also created using a mix of Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides. I used my Nuvo Drops in Ebony Black to create the black flower centres. The butterfly is from the Altenew Painted Butterflies set which I stamped and fussy-cut. Finally I heat-embossed the sentiment in white which is also from the same Altenew set. I also added a strip of black striped cardstock to make it look more appealing.

I hope you liked my cards. These stencils are really versatile and can be used in a number of different ways. I had a nice time creating with them. If you have any questions or queries regarding any of the techniques/products used, please leave me a comment below and I will get back to you. I would like to thank Priya, for sending me these to work with. Hope I could do justice to them :)

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
